Laminate Flooring

About the project

Over the moon with my new flooring which I ordered from Tony Roberts which they also fitted.

The staff at their showroom were very attentive & most importantly patient as I originally wanted solid wood but their sales staff pointed out the +’s & -‘s of solid wood & it took me a further 2-3months to decide what I wanted. They gave me loads of samples to take home (solid wood, engineered wood & laminates) which I put next to my furniture etc. I had these for a number of days which allowed me to see the flooring in different lights. After consulting friends with various types of flooring I finally opted for a high quality laminate as their showroom staff had originally recommended back in July. I was a bit snobbish regarding laminate as I’d had it in the past & hated it but I can honestly say the stuff I have now is a world away from the cheap crap I had before.

This saved me over £1k from the original quote they’d given me for real wood flooring, so that to me says they’re more interested in you being happy with the end result than making a quick profit.

They’re fitters (Dean & Gus) were booked for November & they turned up on time working solidly for 2 days & even tidied up after themselves.
Their attention to detail was excellent for example the fireplace didn’t require any beading to hide a gap as they’d measured & cut so snugly it only required coloured decorators caulk for the tiny gap between the flooring & marble hearth.

I don’t usually bother to write reviews but I am genuinely that pleased with my new flooring I thought it the least I could do after all they’re a small local firm employing local people who do an excellent job. I’ll try & put some pictures up but being a technophobe I’m not entirely sure how to do it!!

Parquet effect high quality laminate flooring from Tony Roberts. Attention to detail, they’re fitters used 2 different tiles – 1 in the hall & 1 in the dining room but made it look like only 1 tile had been used around the door stay.
